Pithampur area of Indore has been emerging as Pharmaceutical hub of Madhya Pradesh and to meet the demands of the Pharma industry, SEWS had set up Indore Institute of Pharmacy (IIP) in the year 2004 with Diploma in Pharmacy course.

As the demand of the pharmacy professional grew, IIP introduced Bachelor in Pharmacy course from the year 2007. Presently the intake capacity of Diploma courses is 60 and B Pharma course is 120 per year. Both Diploma and B Pharma courses are affiliated to Pharmacy Council of India besides being approved by AICTE Delhi, DTE Govt of MP and RGPV university of Bhopal. Prof. Umesh Parekh is the Principal of the institution from the very inception.
